The newly-made-adolescent rats scurried through the Rust Yard like bats out of hell. Well, rats out of hell. With their sense of smell and speed, they found where Egya and Justin were being held within minutes.

The Divine Cherubs were holding the boys in the warehouse closest to the water. Made sense. Farthest from the main entrance, closest to the water—which, if they were smart, offered them an escape route. I was guessing that they probably had some little speed boat ready and waiting just in case, and as we approached the building from the shoreline, I saw I was right.

And from our vantage point, I could see two of the Cherubs—masks still on—standing near two very frightened humans duct taped to chairs.

Well, one frightened human. Egya was smiling, as usual.
